About
Kristine
With over 15 years of experience in the sport of Three Day Eventing, Kristine Burgess is an accomplished 3* Event Rider originally from California. For Kristine, horses began at a young age when Kristine’s mother, Lianne, asked her if she wanted to join her on a “pony ride” after that, the rest is history. In the beginning, Kristine grew up through pony club. At the age of 14, Kristine began spending her winters in North Carolina and finishing high school online with Olympian, Becky Holder. Becky quickly became Kristine’s mentor and confidant in the sport. From Becky’s and many others experience and guidance, Kristine has successfully started her own business producing young horses, training students, and competing at the upper levels.

KBS Curious Quality
Barney, as he is known in the barn, is a 2017 ISH by OBOS Quality owned by Kristine herself. Barney has quickly taken to the sport of Eventing, becoming one of the top placed 7 years old in the country and recently earning a top 10 finish at his first CCI 2*-L. We are very excited for this young horses future.
Arakan
Bertie, as he is known in the barn is a 2010 Oldenburg by Arko III. Bertie spent the first part of his career as top show jumper before making the switch to Eventing. Since 2022, Kristine and Bertie have quickly formed a partnership and most recently moved up to the 3* level.
Past Upper Level Competition Horses
Twogerron
BFF Tiara
Kristine & Tiara were the best of friends who just made things happen together. They did all of their “firsts” together. First Prelim, First 2*, First Young Rider team. Tiara was the perfect first Prelim horse.
Kristine & Duece had great success at the Intermediate
level and CCI3* level. Duece was a typical OTTB who gave Kristine the courage to ride XC at the upper levels. Duece is now owned by an amateur and is enjoying winning at the lower levels.
Regatta
Kristine & Gretta competed up to the Intermediate level together while also representing Area IV at the North American Young Rider Championships. Gretta went on to teach her student Anna Brodd the ropes of Eventing afterwards.
Roza CMF
Originally bought for her mother, Rozie spent much time with Kristine at the Preliminary level, often known to turn heads in the dressage phase. After much success with Kristine, Rozie moved full time to be Lianne’s horse where they always seemed to come home with a blue ribbon.

Aiken, SC
From January to April, Kristine is based out of her parents beautiful farm in Aiken, SC. This farm is an 8 stall barn located in the heart of Aiken, Bridle Creek. Bridle Creek is an equestrian neighborhood that boasts several top 5* riders including access to incredible trails, XC fields, and all weather arenas. This access gives Kristine and her students an opportunity to learn among the best during the winter season.
